Saskatoon Boy

This, is Mark McMorris. Mark is an amazingly talented athlete, only 5 years into the sport he is already an olympic medal winner and sponsored by the highest grossing companies in sports. Such as Red Bull, Burton, Oakley, and Skullcandy. Born in the baron and flat province of Saskatchewan, Mark had to drive 2 hours to get to the nearest ski hill named Asessippi. Which is mostly a valley.

Mark was the first to complete a backside triple cork 1440 and is the 2012/2013 champion at the X Games.  He is currently riding a Burton Process Flying V Snowboard, which is used mainly for park and terrain, it's squeezebox core profiling transfers energy towards the tip and tail for snappier ollies and effortless stability. According to his contract, all of Mark's hard goods have to be from Burton. So he is currently riding with the Burton Imperial Snowboard Boot and the Burton Malavita EST Snowboard Binding.

There was a lot of drama for Mark right before the Sochi Winter Olympics. At the Winter X Games, Mark clipped a rail near the top of the course on his third and final run, landing on his side farther down the rail. He was able to ride  down the rest of the course on his own power. Despite this major hiccup, Mark still went to the Olympics and was able to place as bronze in men's slopestyle. Everyone in the snowboarding community believes that if the accident would never have happened, Mark would have gotten Gold.

Mark is one of my favourite athletes mainly for the reason that we come from similar beginnings. prairie land without a mountain in site. I really admire how he is known very widely for his braveness, ability, and willingness to attempt anything.
